We’re thrilled to announced that we’ve been selected as a finalist for Cumbria’s Golden Apple Awards 2022, in the ‘Innovation’ category.
Along with our research partner, Cosmos Ltd, we’ve been nominated for our work on our ‘Future Selves’ project.
The project consists of a baseline survey and follow up surveys to assess learner Higher Education progression needs across Cumbria. The anonymised results are collated and reported immediately to a live dashboard, providing immediate insight and enabling us to work collaboratively with the relevant school/college to plan and deliver tailored outreach support, based on gaps identified in the data.
Over 1,800 Cumbrian young people have completed the survey since Oct 2021, helping to shape our future outreach delivery as well as challenge and check our assumptions of what we think we should deliver.
Among those on the judging panel this year are Ruth Harrison-Palmer, director of our Institute of Education, and recently appointed Dr Amanda Taylor-Beswick, who is director of our Centre for Digital Transformation.
Finalists across all the categories are invited to the awards event that will take place at Energus, West Cumbria, on 13 October. For more details about the awards and to check out the other finalists, visit The Golden Apple Awards website here.
We look forward to seeing all the finalists in October!
